Message from the Director of Divisions - SIGs
As the newly appointed Director of Divisions and SIGs, I personally look forward to working with all Division Directors and SIG Chairs during the 2009-2010 academic year. First, I would like to extend my appreciation to each one of you for your service to EERA. You may notice that, in some instances, we also have co-chairs who will serve together to represent the division.
As you know, while serving as Division Directors or SIG Chairs, our job is to recruit paper submissions and reviewers for the proposals submitted within our respective division or SIG. In addition, we organize the sessions for our division and SIGs for each conference and submit a draft of these sessions to the Program Chair in a timely fashion. Throughout the year, we further network with our current membership, striving to increase the number of new members within each of our respective divisions. We hope that each division will have at least four papers for the 2010 EERA Conference. Working together, we can stimulate and promote the growth and improvement of EERA, a place to share our research in a welcoming environment. Remember, if we all communicate with others about what a great opportunity it is to be an EERA member on an ongoing basis, others may be influenced to join us at our conferences.
