Journal of Research in Education
Call for Papers
The Journal of Research in Education (JRE) is a peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum for sharing scholarship among researchers and practitioners in education. The Journal encourages the submission of empirical and methodological manuscripts. JRE accepts manuscripts for review and possible publication in all areas of education from faculty, graduate students, and professionals working in the field.
It should be formatted as an MS Word document using 12 point Times New Roman font, double-spaced with 1-½ inch margins on all sides. The author's name, contact information, and institutional affiliation should appear on the title page only. Do not include identifying information in the text or as headers or footers to ensure masked review. An abstract of 100-150 words and three to five keywords should follow the title page. The title should be no longer than 15 words. Submissions should conform to the latest edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. Manuscripts that do not conform to the publication guidelines will be returned to the author. We prefer manuscripts of 20-25 pages in length, including references, tables, figures, title page, and abstract.
A cover letter must accompany each submission indicating that the manuscript is not currently being considered for publication and will not be submitted elsewhere during the JRE review process. It must also include complete contact information (e.g., e-mail address, mailing address, and phone number) for the corresponding author.
We encourage authors to submit work free of errors. Lengthy, improperly formatted manuscripts and article topics outside the scope of the JRE will be screened upon arrival. Appropriate manuscripts will be submitted to blind review. Editorial revisions made by the JRE staff may be necessary to produce a more concise, readable article. Manuscripts will be acknowledged upon receipt. The review process takes 60-90 days.
