The Journal of Research in Education (JRE) provides a forum for sharing scholarship among researchers and practitioners in education. The Journal encourages the submission of empirical and methodological manuscripts. JRE accepts manuscripts for review and possible publication in all areas of education from faculty, graduate students, and professionals working in the field.

Manuscript Format

It should be formatted as a MS Word document using 12 point New Times Roman font, double-spaced with 1 1/2 inch margins all around. The author's name, contact information, and institutional affiliation should appear on the title page only. An abstract of 100 words or less should follow the title page. Submissions should conform to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 5th edition. We prefer manuscripts of 20-25 pages in length, including references, tables, charts, graphs, title page, and abstract.

We encourage authors to submit work free of errors. Lengthy, improperly formatted manuscripts and article topics outside the scope of the JRE will be screened upon arrival. Appropriate manuscripts will be submitted to blind review. Editorial revisions made by the JRE staff may be necessary to produce a more concise, readable article. Manuscripts will be acknowledged upon receipt.

Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts are accepted in electronic form to accelerate the review process. Send the manuscript to mtmille@uark.edu as an e-mail attachment.
